Location: 3-minute walk from Beaudry metro station (green line) and 8-minute walk from Berri-UQAM (orange line). It’s also a 15-minute walk to both Parc La Fontaine and the Old Port and the river, a 15-minute bike ride to Parc Jean-Drapeau. Very conveniently located near BIXI stations, a range of supermarkets, and some great cultural venues! The location is especially convenient for anyone who works or studies at UQAM, McGill, or Concordia.
The room: Very private, quiet, and spacious! There is enough space for a desk and for stretching/exercising, and it has its own entrance into the courtyard as well as a sunny terrace where you can organize a lounge zone or grow a little garden. It has a beautiful wood-paneled wall and a full-length mirror. The room would work especially great for someone who needs lots of storage space and a large wardrobe. The room comes unfurnished.
The apartment: A second-floor apartment (no elevator), freshly and tastefully renovated by landlords who originally designed and equipped the space for themselves. It has a superb kitchen with a dishwasher and a higher-quality oven; a fancy bathroom with a full bathtub, rainfall shower, and LED mirror: as well as beautiful wooden details and dimmable lights throughout. There is a spacious living room connected to the kitchen, which has proved great for the occasional dinner party or film night with a projector. The apartment also has a washer, dryer, AC, and a balcony. The floors are solid, you can’t hear the neighbours, and the apartment is energy efficient.
The roommate (me!): Katya (35), I’m doing my PhD at Concordia, and I’m into the social sciences and the arts. I like living with roommates, and many of my longest friendships started through sharing an apartment. I like creating a peaceful, cozy and hospitable home together, where we respect each other’s quiet time and personal space while also living as a community. And I don’t believe there can ever be too many plants or books in a house!

Bonjour! Je cherche une personne pour partager un appartement de deux chambres dans le Centre-Sud (Village). La chambre est disponible dès septembre et coûte 1 160 $/mois.
Emplacement: À 3 minutes à pied du métro Beaudry (ligne verte) et à 8 minutes à pied de Berri-UQAM (ligne orange). C’est également à 15 minutes à pied du parc La Fontaine ainsi que du Vieux-Port et du fleuve, et à 15 minutes à vélo du parc Jean-Drapeau. L’emplacement est très pratique, à proximité de plusieurs stations BIXI, de nombreux supermarchés et de quelques lieux culturels vraiment chouettes! C’est particulièrement pratique si vous travaillez ou étudiez à l’UQAM, à McGill ou à Concordia.
La chambre: Très privée, calme et spacieuse! Il y a suffisamment d’espace pour un bureau ainsi que pour faire des étirements ou de l’exercice. Elle possède sa propre entrée donnant sur la cour, ainsi qu’une terrasse ensoleillée où vous pourrez aménager un petit coin détente ou faire pousser un petit jardin, si ça vous dit. Elle a un magnifique mur en bois et un miroir pleine longueur. Elle conviendrait particulièrement bien à quelqu’un qui a besoin de beaucoup d’espace de rangement. La chambre est non meublée.
L’appartement: Situé au 2e étage (sans ascenseur), l’appartement vient tout juste d’être rénové avec beaucoup de soin et de goût par des propriétaires attentionnés, qui avaient à l’origine conçu et aménagé l’espace pour eux-mêmes. Il comprend une superbe cuisine avec lave-vaisselle et un four de très bonne qualité, ainsi qu’une salle de bain assez chic avec une baignoire pleine grandeur et une douche à effet pluie et un miroir à DEL. Il y a également de beaux éléments en bois et des lumières à intensité réglable dans tout l’appartement. Le salon spacieux est ouvert sur la cuisine, ce qui s’est avéré parfait pour organiser de temps en temps un petit souper entre amis ou une soirée cinéma avec un projecteur. L’appartement dispose également d’une laveuse, d’une sécheuse, de la climatisation et d’un balcon. Les planchers sont solides, on n’entend pas les voisins et l’appartement est écoénergétique.
La colocataire (moi!) : Katya, 35 ans. Je fais mon doctorat à Concordia et je m’intéresse aux sciences sociales et aux arts. J’aime beaucoup vivre en colocation, et plusieurs de mes amitiés les plus longues ont commencé en partageant un appartement. J’aime créer ensemble un chez-soi paisible, chaleureux et accueillant, où l’on respecte le temps calme et l’espace personnel de chacun·e, tout en partageant une vie de communauté. Et je ne crois pas qu’on puisse avoir trop de plantes ou de livres à la maison!
